Biker Injured After Collision with Shooting Victim in Wakefield

By David Greene BRONX, NEW YORK, APRIL 14- A motorcycle rider is expected to survive after he slammed into an automobile driven by a man fleeing a gunman in Wakefield.
Police were called to the intersection of Wickham Avenue and Pitman Avenue, at 6:30 p.m., on April 12. Police say an unidentified 24-year-old male was shot in the hip as his assailant pumped a half dozen shots into his black sedan, before stepping on the gas-- when the motorcyclist slammed into the side of the fleeing vehicle, at the intersection of Baychester and Nerid Avenues. The 42-year-old motorcyclist was reported in serious, but stable condition at Jacobi Hospital. No charges have been filed against the shooting victim and police continue to search for the gunman.
